laptop safety and security

Laptop users are known for their addiction connected to using laptop for endless hours. It is portable enough to travel along with anywhere without any hassle of detaching all the wires and then moving on. PC however, has turned to dust but entirely but step by step, desktop pc would see the end of it and would finally become extinct.

The best thing about laptops is that you can use your device in any location without having to find switch to plug the wires as laptops run of chargeable batteries. However, once the batteries run out of juice, you need to find a plug to charge your device.

Keep a laptop bag:

Keeping and using a laptop bag in essential in protecting your device from harmful factors. For example, laptops usually stop working when they get filled with too much dust. Hence, covering it in a bag makes it immune to all the threats that may enter your laptop through the flow of air. Moreover, a container bag of laptops makes it easier for us to carry it with a firm grip or tied to our shoulder instead of carrying your laptop in bare hands.

Be safe at the hotel:

Laptops are known for having all of our confidential work and hard to leave it with anyone youdo not rust. Hence, while staying in a hotel, try not getting too comfortable as you might be the owner of a successfully running online business and while you are at the hotel, someone may use your laptop and take away all that was confidential. Hence, keep your laptop either password protected, encrypted, and more.

Don’t overcharge:

The best way to improve the life of your laptop’s battery is to neither overcharge nor using it the last seconds of the battery. Try using your battery at a minimum level of 15% and not more than 85% in order to improve the battery life. Once the battery juice falls at 20%, try connecting your charger to the laptop to make sure you don’t fall below the boundary line.

Get a security software (trusted):

In case if you have a file that is confidential and you’re afraid someone might insert their drives and take all that was once yours away from you, than try using a USB data security and protection software that would allow you to password protect your data stored in USB drives. (Do delete your confidential data from its original location stored on your laptop). Hence, when you need to use that data again, simply insert them (USBs)into the trusted device (laptop) to access them again as you don’t need to install the software and connecting the USB drive is enough.

Don’t install software that you do not trust:

Buying software that has mass reputation is doable but suddenly out of nowhere installing a software that you do trust, is an open invitation to data thefts and prying eyes. Hence, avoid all such types of data loss threats by doing what you can.
