Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 – Is Galaxy Tab better than Xiaomi Tab?
There are many Apple iPad out there and I can only say they are supreme leader in tablet segment but there are several Android tablets also that are looking to gain a foothold as wellnin smartphone market. Xiaomi and Samsung are also two companies with many offerings in this regard and we would be comparing one of their device each which are Galaxy Tqb E 9.6 and Mi 7.9 pad. The Galaxy Tab E 9.6 is a much more user friendly tablet compared to previous generations while the Mi Pad 7.9 has all the weapons to take on the iPad Mini 2.
Design, Display & Dimension
The 7.9 inches display firmly puts the Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 in the reach of the iPad Mini 2. It is not just about the screen size and Xiaomi understands this aspect and provides an impeccable 1536 x 2048 pixels of resolution. This means that the device is able to enjoy a pixel density of 324 PPI. Compared to this screen, Samsung may offer more bang for the buck. The Galaxy Tab E 9.6 has a 9.6 inch display. However, the product woefully suffers from the lack of sufficient resolution. Offering just 800 x 1280 pixels and 157 PPI in this day and age is simply not enough.
Considering that the Xiaomi’s display is almost up to 8 inches, there is not a lot separating it from the poor display on the Samsung. Apart from the lack of resolution, the Samsung tablet’s display also disappoints in terms of its technology. The basic TFT display does a decent job in terms of clarity, brightness, and other parameters, but it is nothing special by any means. In contrast, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 has the IPS panels behind its back.
Hardware & Storage
We all prefer a device that can performs task faster and efficiently and this specs falls under the hardware section. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 has an Nvidia processor at its heart. This quad core 2.2 GHz processor has enough processing power and it is backed by more than sufficient 2 GB of RAM. The Galaxy Tab E 9.6 has slightly lower specifications in this regard. It has 1.5 GB of RAM, but there is not much to separate in terms of processing power. This is because of a similarly equipped quad core processor in the device. Clocked at 1.3 GHz, the power provided by it is on the lower side, but there is no doubt that the Galaxy Tab E 9.6 can perform adequately when called upon. From the hardware specs probably I can say the good backing provided by Xiaomi in terms of the display still continues in terms of the processor too. The Mi Pad 7. 9 ia of two types one with 16GB internal storage and the other with 64GB internal memory and added is an external microSD card slot of up to 128GB while Galaxy Tab E 9.6 has an internal memory of 8GB and external sdcard slot of 128GB.
Camera & Battery
Tablets are increasingly being equipped with better cameras and the Galaxy Tab E 9.6 is a good example in this case. The rear 5 MP camera in the Samsung does well in the imaging department, while the Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 towers with its 8 MP camera. This camera has a range of functionalities including 1080p recording ability. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 also can run for much longer due to a 6700 mAh capacity battery while the Samsung only has a 5000 mAh capacity.
Both tablet is available for a price of $210 with the Xiaomi appearing to offer more value.
