Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs Asus ZenFone 2 – Top Comparison with Specs
Although both are great smartphones but they don’t have same specifications and that’s what I wanted to discuss here in this post. Are these smartphones phablets, if we were to consider the situation as last last 10 years both can be referred to as phablets but with the current technology the only device that we could refer to as phablet today is Galaxy Note 4. Why do I said this? You would surely understand after reading the post.
Design, Display & Dimensions
The two smartphones are pretty similar in terms of measurements. These two gizmos are pretty large and are not easy to maneuver with just one hand. However, because it belongs to the Note line, the Samsung phablet has the S Pen squeezed in nicely in the right side corner. The ZenFone 2 is gifted with a Gorilla Glass 3-protected 5.5-inch display which is approximately 1080×1920 pixels in size while the Note 4 comes with a 5.7 Quad core HD display with 515 ppi pixel density.
Hardware & Storage
Galaxy Note 4 comes with Snapdragon 805 or Exynos 7 Octa chipsets. So the version with the 4GB RAM of the Asus ZenFone 2 is quite the adversary for the Note 4 in terms of processor and power. ZenFone 2 comes packed with a LTE Intel Atom Z3580 processor and 4 cores that can get to frequencies of 2.33 GHz. But, users are in for a surprise when it comes to the device’s memory. Note 4 is gifted with 3GB of RAM and Zenfone 2 device is of two types, you can find one that have merely 2 GB of RAM, but you can also opt for the pricier ones that include a 4 GB of RAM. Note 4 device runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat while the Zenfone 2 runs on latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Both device have good internal memory, Note 4 posses 32GB of inner memory and the Zenfone 2 which is of two types one have 16GB inner memory and the other is gifted with 64GB inner memory.
The ZenFone 2 is really taking advantage of the ZenUI. There are some neat gimmicks implemented into the operating system. These gimmicks are all kinds of shortcuts that are linked to one’s gestures. ZenUI has diverse and brand new features implemented such as the ZenMotions as well as the SnapView and ZenUI Instant Updates. But the Note 4’s TouchWiz interface is still on top. This UI is “worth a million”, and Android users love it.
The Note 4 comes with a 16 MP snapper that also has image stabilization and the performance for this camera is off the charts at the front there’s also a 3.7 MP camera. ZenFone 2 comes packed with a 13-megapixel unit and 5-element, f/2.0 lens and a dual-color Real Tone LED flash added. There’s also a front facing camera of 5 megapixel snapper which can be use to take great selfies. And you even have the option of enabling a selfie panorama. Both device are really born for taking great selfies, you won’t regret buying anyone of them if you are particularly someone who love taking selfies.
The Note 4 device has a 3220 mAh while the ZenFone 2 comes with a 3000 mAh battery. So both device have closer battery specs but the Note 4 battery is just a little bit stronger than the Zenfone 2.
